About me

My name is Connie and, as you may have guessed, I’m “of a certain age” (48) and LOVE IT!  From time to time, my cat – Gwydion – will likely be posting comments or pages of his own.  We live in the fabulous INWOOD section of New York City.

I’m an only child and my 89 year old mother had Alzheimer’s.  She died on August 17, 2009.  She had me at 40 and worked as an executive in the then “New York Telephone Company” (a/k/a Ma Bell).

I’m an attorney, speaker, coach, cabaret singer and voiceover artist.    What the heck does that mean?  If you love adventure and exploring, love to travel, and just wake up and say WOW to the world and want to create what’s next . . . or if you’re WOW has a little less oomph than it used to . . . I’m your gal.

What I’ve really learned lately is that, for me, the procees (of growing, learning, discovering, becoming) is my puporse tne the purpose of life is that very process.  It’s transformed faulting myself for changing into an embracing of the very reason we may all be here.

My philosophy is that people best connect with themselves in nature and when they’re playing . . . remember running to the end of the diving board (or swimming hole) when you were 8 and just jumping?!  or maybe that special place by a lake at your favorite time of day or walking in the snow when you know you’re connected to all of it?

We’ll talk about how properly nurturing yourself (nesting time, eating right and tasting good!, exercise you enjoy, creative self-expression) is the difference between being merely Vintage and VintageAWESOME!

Things I’ll probably be musing about . . . being an only child in your 40′s today . . . dating in your 40′s . . . the 70′s (the era – not our future age!) . . .  feeling great . . .exploring the world . . . making a difference . . .

Trips in the planning stages include Bhutan, Tuscany, Montana, Antarctica.

Enjoy the ride!

Moo-hair! Totally loving it, including the trips in the planning stages. (From April 15 and May 2, 2010, I will be somewhere between Rome and Venice making pitstops along the way. Maybe we could meet up a some point.) Love, Amalia

MOO, baby! I’d love to meet up, even if it’s “just” here in NYC!

Wow Connie, you are multi-talented. Go girl!

Connie,

I was searching for soemthing on the web, actually fishing, and came across your site. What a refreshing site and a breath of fresh air during my workday. Thanks for sharing your Vintage Awesomeness.
